Can't understand the comparison to The Revenant in all honesty, aside from the fact they come out around the same time and are both set in a snowy environment.
Far too early to judge in my opinion, hard to tell what the film's even about at this point let alone how good it'll be. I'll be surprised if it measures up to his very best work but I still don't think it'll be a dud.
The Revenant quip was tongue in cheek.
But from reading the plot and watching the trailer Hateful Eight doesn't pique my interest; the cast is also weak compared to his recent movies.
