I hate this flippin time of year as there is a bloody awards show on every week. The Oscars are no different to the others by which I mean the best film/actor doesn't always win. It is often a popularity contest.

The kings speech will probably win bucket loads as they love "charming" English films, and Nathalie Portman better bloody win best actress or something is messed up with the world.

I ignore all awards shows that don't have a "best lesbian love scene" category.

You'll obviously be hoping Black Swan wins then ;)

Best picture has to be Inception IMO.
Best actor should go to Colin Firth but i wouldn't mind if it went to Jeff Bridges.
Best supporting actress has to be Hailee Steinfeld and if it is anyone else the Oscars should be burnt.

Does anyone know if there is any channels showing this besides sky premiere? I dont have the luxury of having both sports and movies

Not a chance. If going by the hype The kings speech will win best film and Christian Bale will win best actor.

I preferred Firth in Fever pitch where the bloke all the women like looks more like Rory McGrath!
