Four Lions

Four Lions

Postby djaxster » Mon Jan 24, 2011 1:44 pm

I have wanted to see this film since it came out so bought it and watched it last night. And it was worth the wait.
Absolutly the funniest film i have seen for about 10-20 years. Only funnier film is Life of Brian.

It's about 4 British Jihadidsts. The brains of the 4 wants to be a Martyr(His wife and kid know and are telling him to go for it), He's thick mate played brilliantly by Kayvan Novak (face/phone jacker). Barry the white guy who just wants to blow up their mosque and blame it on the Jewish, and finally a weird looking older guy who is a brilliant bomb maker but can't blow himself up as his dad is unwell so is training crowes to carry the bombs for him.
The funniest is when thier leader and his thick mate travel to Pakistan to join a training camp.

If any one likes Chris Morris(writer and director) or those British Films where they show how inept we humans are will love this film..The sheep bit is absolutly hilarous :rofll:

Loved this one! Especially when they attempt to shoot down the drone with the missile launcher.

Looks funny as f**k, just watched the trailer and a short clip. I'm glad someone is making a movie about this and poking fun at it. It shows that some still do have a sense of humor in this world.

Not sure if you have heard of him CHV but check out the Director Chris Morris. He done a spoof program on Channel4 about Peadophiles. He got crucified for it but it's subject that no one wanted to make funny, just like terroirism.
He also done a fake drugs program about the new drug "Cake" and he gets celebs to talk about( They think it's real).

Haven't heard of him, but I do admire his courage in this time of PC. :hail: I'll have to keep an eye out for his work.
