Anyone understood the end? I'm all wound up by the movie.

I think I know the real truth but its so mysterious that even its possible that they brainwashed him

I thought it was a top film and the ending was great!

From what I understood when he said something like ' Would you rather live as a villian or die as a hero' it basically meant they he was essentially 'fixed' in that he had snapped out of his little pshyco world of being a police and understood that it was actually him who killed his wife.

But he didnt want to live knowing that it was actually he who killed his wife so kind of went back into his pshyco world where he was a hero cop, knowing that they would kill him but he would die as a hero.

Great film, but you can see the twist coming a mile off.
