Karate Kid 2010

Karate Kid 2010

Postby djaxster » Thu Jan 21, 2010 10:41 am

I didn't even know they were bringing this out but a Karate Instructor i know told me about it.
It stars Jaden Smith(Big Willies son) and Jackie Chan as Mr Miyagi. DOH

First mistake J.Chan a Kung Fu expert not fooking Karate so i wonder how they are going to do that as any martial arts nut will tell you, there is a big difference from Karate to KungFu.

Anyways the original is one of my top films ever and got me into Karate when i was a kid.
So hopefully like my Instructor friend, this will turn on loads of lads to take up the Art.

By the way the story is the same as the orig but i hop theyhave more fighting in it instead of the slushy love crap.

PG I am the same way... but I don't want to get too excited because I have a bad feeling these movies will disappoint.

If you're going to re-do a classic, it better be f***ing brilliant.

I do find myself interested in watching the re-makes though.

There were feature length episodes, but no movies

They need to remake:

Streethawk
Airwolf
Million Dollar Man
Fall Guy
Magnum P.I.

This is the sad state of affairs with the film industry nowadays.
They are so shit-scared of losing money that they have to go back and take every 80's series or sitcom and make a film out if it because that's more 'bankable' than making up an original story. W****rs.
Why can't think up new ideas, how hard can it be?

Because they dont want to bother trying to create a new fan base when there are existing fan bases to commercialise

A new McGyver would be cool if they modernized it to this day and age with all of our technologies now.
