Best - ever movie soundtracks

Best - ever movie soundtracks

Postby UFGN » Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:44 pm

Theres two types of soundtracks, ones that are written for the film and ones which just have great pre-existing music in them..

This is a mix of both kinds, soundtracks that are so good they are an integral part of the film.

Pulp Fiction
Schindlers List
The Good The Bad and The Ugly
The Wicker Man (original version)
28 Days Later
Superman (all)
Jackie Brown

Well the film with the best music is Pulp Fiction, every song fits perfectly with what is going on. A VERY close second would be 2001, The Blue Danube just seems right during the space scenes.
The film with the best original music (for me) would probably be Schindlers list.

That film turned me into an emotional wreck for about two days the first time I saw it and I think the music had a lot to do with it. Plus that last scene with Neason and Kingsley is probably the most emotional scene ive ever seen in a film. If you dont shed a tear during that you are probably a robot.

The music isn't always very prominent in Schindlers list, but because of the subject matter it does really hit you. The music playing in the background as he see's the little girl in the red dress kind of got to me.

He said to me, he's seen the white Pele.
So I ask, who is he?

Godfather (pure class, if a musical score fits a film better I haven't heard it) and Lock Stock. I also think Pulp Fiction's soundtrack is for the ages.

Others will come to mind.
