I knew practically nothing about it until I boarded a plane back to Hong Kong in late March, watched the movie on the plane and got the book (as a coincidental gift) a day later. I was just reading it for about the 6th time actually, fantastic book and movie.

Never seen the film but the book is excellent.

People should remember that it's a novel not a biography though.

If people want to read a book that's a true reflection of Brian Clough and his career, then i'd recommend the brilliant biography 'Provided You Don't Kiss Me' by Duncan Hamilton.

Saw it last week with my brother in law. He's American and he loved it.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in my school that can understand it (everyone else being rugby league born and bred), and I don't completely get some parts :)

The film's fantastic apart from the fact that I need to put my headphones on when I watch it (on the computer) because of the amount of profanities lol

That's funny, because I was flipping though the Netflix instant movies on XBOX Live and saw it last night. Decided to watch it last night and it was very good. It's a story made for film, and it was very entertaining.

I also watched it last night, cracking film, absolutely loved it!

Brian Clough wrote:I wouldn't say I was the best manager in the business. But I was in the top one!

:rofll:

But Christ he hated Revie! Was a very good insight.

RIP Cloughy!

Brillant top film, loved it.

I remember the day Forest came to Higbury and beat us 4-1 back in 89.
Even some Gonners in the Norf Bank were singing " one Brian Clough".

I remember being on Holiday back in 79 and watching the Euro final that Forest one with me dad in a caravan...
My missus has just watched this and rang me at work and said she really loved it..
Brillant acting and even though it's based on a novel the film tells it more how it happened.

Loved theMohhamed Ali bit :rofll:

Quality film, I remeber in about 2000 our primary school team won the county cup and he came and presented us the trophy. I live 5 minutes from his old house. He is a legend and without a doubt the best English manager to never manage England.
