Hamilton equals Schumacher's F1 win record

Postby Va-Va-Voom » Sun Oct 11, 2020 6:47 pm

Both have 91 wins.

I don't know anything about F1, can Hamilton already be considered the greatest?

If not do you think he will be by the time he retires, what does he have to do to surpass Schumacher's legacy?

Whatever happened to Vettel?

I remember he had a monster year in 2013/14?

When he wins his 7th title he will be the best, as much as I love schumacher he was a dirty racer, Hamilton races pretty fair that's why I prefer hamilton

Its great for British sport

If you said back in the 80s or 90s that we'd have a British driver who was the greatest of all time youd have been locked up with a no shoe laces and a lot of plastic cutlery

I want him to just get one more title to make it certain

Hamilton will never be the best, Schumacher also had a pretty dominant car but Hamilton’s basically racing a golf buggie against shopping carts with the wheels locked.

His numbers will always put him up there but if you’ve watched F1 for the last 20-30 years and aren’t just a biased Brit then I doubt many would put him ahead of Schumi.

Glad he knocked Vettel off his perch but it’s time for someone new to start winning, hopefully next season the cars really will be more equal and we’ll see the true driver skill rather than the best and biggest mechanical teams.

The battles between Lando, Leclerc and Verstappen over the next 10 years will be class.

Funny that he went shit without the RBR and Adrian Newey. Absolutely hilarious watching him look like a complete tard down in 16th most weeks now though :rofll:

Still surprised racing point dropped perez for the washed up Vettel, think he’ll make a small comeback in a new environment but Perez has been really good for them.

Nando back next year as well :1990_dancing.gif:

Always I hear this "Its the car" argument and always I call bullshit

If the car was the winner and any decent racing driver could do the same or similar, why would they pay Hamilton £35 Million a year?

Yes! £35 Million!!! They wouldnt.

Also as has already been said, MS was a dirty f***er and his Ferrari car was every bit as dominant

Yeah we get it buddy, you’re a big Hamilton fan. I didn’t say it was just the car but look at the f***ing stats, nobody beats Mercedes regularly over the last 6 years so he’s racing his teammate and his engine that’s it.

Hamilton proved himself worthy of being the number 1 driver in that team, won’t doubt that. So they paired him with betas like Rosberg and Bottas who won’t challenge the ‘king’. Mercedes recently rejected drivers like Max and Alonso in part because they want a stable number 2 who’s happy to play the part.

It’s great for him, he timed his move to Mercedes perfectly and earned his #1 status there but I find his McLaren title win much more impressive. Plus back in the day it was much harder to be dominant with a DNF only costing you a max of 12 points (easier to catch up) than the 25 points it costs now. Yes equal for the current field but when comparing the eras it makes the current one easier to dominate purely on car reliability, nevermind being the fastest by miles.

Oh we're a "we" now are we? How sweet

Considering MS very rarely failed to finish your point about DNF's is point-less

Hamilton is a legend. He will go on to win more races and more titles, and cement his position in history

If you visit Nigel Mansell's museum in Jersey, Mansell himself does the audio tour. He speaks very highly of Senna but says he was a high risk driver and risk taker

Its a great little museum btw, if youre ever in Jersey its a must do
