Raahhtid! Just watched the highlights. What a mess up by Vettel but what a turnaround from Hamilton. Guy looked like he was crying yesterday. Great drive. Guy is a legend in changeable conditions. Love how he ignored his engineer's call to box.

thought vettel was gonna take it with his good last run but then he even ended up behind kimi :rofll:

Sainz the drive of qualifying imo though, quality to put that car in 5th. Really underrated driver, McLaren would be lucky to get him over Vandoorne.

Of course Vettel flukes another 2nd place, whilst if it was him behind Kimi on fresher tyres he would've been crying all over the radio to be let past.

Anyway, Hamilton wins and Bottas has two late collisions. First one don't blame him, second his fault but a lock up and he gave it back so shouldn't be a penalty. Vettel will get nothing of course.

FFS vettel was so lucky, bottas can never produce that something extra to do special things, top driver manages to hold vettel off, 4 weeks to the next race ffs

How was Vettel lucky? Mercedes gave Bottas a shitty strategy so he could block Vettel for Hamilton. They could have pitted Bottas again at any point like Ferrari did with Kimi but that would have meant Vettel going after Hamilton.

Also Bottas didn't give it back to Ricciardo, he fought for it and lost. Luckily top 6 is so clear above the others his deserved penalty didn't matter at the end.

I think it's great that Hamilton is doing so well. If he wins one more title he stands as the second most successful F1 driver in modern times.... behind only Schumacher and equal with Fangio.

Some peeps aren't old enough to remember the unspeakable dross that used to pass for sporting success in this country.

UK in 2010's: A world class tennis player, one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time and an Olympics team that's the envy of the world

Interesting stat

Hamilton is on course to win his fifth world Title and is aged 33

Schumacher was also 33 when he won his fifth Title

So Lewis still has time to equal or beat him

Schumacher was a far better driver though, Hamilton isn't even the best driver on the grid, that's still Fernando.

Pole wise Hamilton has smashed schumi though, I know he has always had fast cars but over one lap if I had to put my life on anyone to deliver a pole it's definitely Hamilton
