Enjoyed that race, infinitely better than Bahrain

Button is like Man U..... not really an outstanding driver but always gets the rub of the green and keeps a cool head at the end. Feel really bad for Hamilton, his team cost him a podium and Webber cost him 4th/5th place

What a great race this morning. Totally made up for the Bahrain bore that was the opening day of the season. That's exactlly why Australia should be the opening race!

Not looking forward to seeing the headlines about lewis "craking up". Maybe his little outburst are signs he's finding it tough but the press will be all over this like a fly on shit. I hope he recovers in the next race.

That first turn was everything you expected it to be, action, drama and some quality driving too.

I'm still wondering how Vettel lost the line though, I think he might well have won that one.

I wish that I could hear a convincing reason why they have brought in this ban on testing. To me it makes no sense at all, if you can't test your car then how do you know whether you have it set up properly or not?, I suppose that the teams have to wait for the race weekend by which time it's too late to do anything. Ecclestone should be taken out and shot.

Hamilton's team fecked it up for him.
Vettel should have clear daylight at the top of the driver's standings but for reliability problems.

I'm with you Roger, Bernie should be flogged.

Flogged suggests that he doesn't die, flogged to death would be sufficient.

That race was a billion times better than Borain...

I think the whole thing with Hamilton is being blown way out or proportion too. I'm sure banter like that happens all the time in the garages and behind the scenes. Non-story in my opinion.

Maybe it has been blown up but on the other hand -

LEWIS HAMILTON LAUNCHES RANT LIVE ON TV
Lewis Hamilton was unhappy with the strategy 29th March 2010 By Steve Hughes

ANGRY Lewis Hamilton launched a four-letter rant at his F1 bosses while the Australia Grand Prix was being broadcast live.
The race ace, who was arrested for alleged reckless driving on the eve of the Melbourne race, was fuming at his team for getting his pitstop strategy wrong.

Fans heard his outburst as he blasted his McLaren backroom boys on his radio. Seconds later commentators on BBC Radio Five Live were forced to apologise for the outburst. The former World Champion lashed out: “Who’s call was it to bring me in? F***ing terrible idea.”

TV commentator Martin Brundle, 50, said: “Keep your head calm Lewis. That’s an unnecessary conversation. He just needs to keep his head.”
Lewis, 25, started 11th on the grid but fought his way to sixth. He added: “I probably had one of the drives of my life. “But unfortunately due to the strategy, I was put further back and then I got taken out by Mark Webber. I’m happy with the job I did.”

And referring to his pit team’s decision to pull him in, he said: “Everyone else in front of me did one stop and for some reason I did two. “I’d already stopped once and my tyres were fine.” Hamilton’s team-mate Jenson Button, 30, won the dramatic race. Last night, a BBC spokesman said: “Occasionally on live radio some words are broadcast which are out of our control.”

Lewis was arrested on Friday for the improper use of a car.

My question is why are the broadcasting live radio?

I'm surprised the teams are ok with this. Would it really be any worse if they delayed things like 5 secs? I would think the teams would want this so they don't have strategy broadcast to the other teams through the TV...

As I previously said he was right to have a go at his team. And as Leody said these conversations happen all the time. If the Beeb are worried about foul language then they should do away with earwigging the Live radio.

If it is delayed then why didn't the catch the swearing and beep it out or just not use that audio?
