Reminded me of Ayrton Senna. Not a massive F1 fan but really hope he pulls through.

Heard about it earlier on SSN. Hope he pulls through. And this after John Surtees' son died in a motor racing accident as well.

I'm hoping that he will pull through, his condition is stable at the moment. I was watching the qualifying and you could see that he must have been badly hurt as there was no movement from him at all, then the rescue vehicles turned up.

Good grief! First time I have seen that footage.

Ouch, just ouch!

Good luck to him for a speedy recovery.

It is looking likely that he will be ok...........

But it is pretty certain his career is over.......

At the moment he is in a drug-induced coma to try to keep his condition as stable as possible.

you have to remeber that spring weighs 1kg and was traveling at over 100mph, also Massa was traveling at 170mph......... it is a miracle that he is still alive........

Exactly! 1 kellogg doesn't sound like much weight, but at an impact speed of about 250mph.......

It was such a freak accident, the odds against something like that happening must have been very high. They didn't show it live, the first we knew was when they showed the car stuck in the wall. Quite some time after that they showed the cockpit view of the incident.
