Snow thing

Postby Yorkyblue » Sun Dec 07, 2014 1:56 pm

How do you turn the snow thing off? Since it came on, the forum is very jumpy when it comes to scrolling. Not sure if it's just not compatible with windows 8 or if it's anything to do with screen resolution (or even something else).

As a great man once said

"control panel -> Options -> Edit Global Settings -> "Enable Holiday Snow:" switch from "YES" to "NO" if it is already set to "NO" you have to switch to "YES" click on Submit and switch back to "NO" and submit again."

Leave the snow alone!

It hasn't hindered the website's performance at all.

Guess some of you browse the web with a potato, only reason the scrolling wouldn't work fine ;)

Im on windows 8 anything compatible with windows 7 will be the same on windows 8, very similar operating systems.
Once they are both 64 bit operating systems that is, I know ev1 is confused still by 32/64 bit operating systems.

Just think of it this way always buy 64 and there is no cost difference nobody should have 32 bit operating systems or home edition cheapo operating systems, it is also not possible to get a free version of windows or office that works properly now adays Microsoft are ahead of the pirates now.

Yorky, use IE as a base browser, that's my recommendation anyway, its probably a browser issue your having not an OS issue.
In regards to the snow affect. Working fine for me on Win8 Pro 64X Internet Explorer 11
Chrome sucks ass now adays and is buggy as hell, Firefox lets not even go there unless your configuring Linux boxes or firewalls and routers with it.
Its not really any better than IE in anyway for browsing the web.
