state of origin rugby league

ok , probably only yorkyblue and superdumbassman will give a hoot about this but ......

it's state of origin time !!!

tonight kicks off the first match of 3 between mortal enemies NEW SOUTH WALES (blues)& QUEENSLAND (maroons) . with the dirty queenslanders having won the last 2 years us blues are desperate to stop them from claiming a hat-trick . it is my favourite time of the rugby league year and it doesn't get better than this , as you can see from the stats below the two teams are well matched . the games are ferocious and fast paced and often a punch up occurs

State of Origin Matches 1980 - 2007
Games Played: 81
Queensland: 40 wins - NSW: 39 wins - Draws 2
Series Wins: NSW 12 / QLD 12 / Drawn 2

big hits (tackles)

c'mon you blues !!!

14-0 at half time. At least we want the same team to win for once. :D

Oh ffs Maroons scored - big screen. Looks like a knock on to me. Can't believe he didn't look at that a bit more.

14-4 then at half time.

NSW 18 QLD 10 , the blues dominated and the score doesn't really reflect just how good the blues were

Was looking at some NSW clothing earlier. So damn expensive over here though. The shirt is like £50, same as NRL teams and a sexy NSW polo shirt was even £30.

Got my alarm set for 10:30am to make sure I'm up to watch. Can't wait for this one. :D
