Lmfao at Abel Sanchez and GGG both saying Canelo ran the first fight and begging him to fight toe to toe in the middle of the ring, then when he does just that GGG doesn't know how to act.

He was on his bike the whole time and looked mad uncomfortable.

Imagine being the "boogeyman" and getting walked down by the smaller man after you had been begging him to stand and fight in the middle of the ring for an entire year.

Canelo literally changed his entire gameplan this fight, went from fighting on the back foot and countering to planting himself in the middle of the ring and hunting the bully.

GGG couldn't fight going backwards effectively, Canelo can do both.

The superior, more skilled and versatile boxer won.

You're so far off the mark with this.

Golvkin did not fight anything like Mayweather, Canelo was killing his midsection with body shots and landed more power shots overall. To insinuate GGG put on some sort of defensive virtuoso performance a la Mayweather is simply wrong. He was taking big shots all night, Mayweather rarely got touched with jabs.

Also, Mayweather has always been a defence first fighter, GGG never has. What does GGG suddenly reverting to fighting on the backfoot mean?

It means Canelo took him out of his comfort zone and forced him to fight in a way he never has before and in a manner he wasn't effective in.

They fought on Canelo's terms, he dictated everything; GGG had no control over the ring generalship.

I absolutely agree. That's why i never insinuated that. Haven't said GGG fought similarly to Mayweather either. I just said Mayweather gets the decision if he's GGG in that fight, mostly because he's a bigger name and an even bigger cash cow than Canelo. Nothing to do with his style of fighting.

No he wouldn't.

Mayweather would swiftly be handed his first L for getting peppered up all night.

If Mayweather was ever in a close fight people wold be biased towards the other fighter because they always expect a shut out for Floyd.

I don't like canelo or the bias circus he has around him, ive only seen the highlights but it looks like canelo did better than he did last time but can't tell if he won or not from the limited time i saw it

Enzo Calzaghe, father and trainer of Joe, has died.

69 years old.

R.I.P.

One of the best father/son tandems in boxing history.
