genuinely if this goes long he could win. anything short and Haye should knock him for 6.

Bellew has been a pubber for years

He got knocked down by a bin man ffs he has no chance against Haye even past his prime

did mesut done tell ya's or what???

if u added that haye would tear his achilles and barely stand after 7 rounds i wouldve agreed with you

the fight was embarssing tbh, im sure haye won a round despite being disabled

won so well he was 7 rounds in and still going?

bellew mugged him and as expected haye died as the fight went long, told you 3 mins in the ring over 5 years was gonna be a problem and what happened??

even if it was a real injury this time..unlike the toe :rofll:

there was no doubt that if haye didnt literally snap his achilles, which u can see when it exactly happened, haye would've floored him sooner rather than later

shouldve went in for the kill when he made bellew wobble a bit but ended up toying with him

anyway, no-one comes out that fight looking good, L for both

well even from Haye himself

"The ankle was just one of those things. The better man won on the night.

"I knew he was tough and had a big heart and I congratulate him. My best wasn't good enough tonight and I'd like the chance to do it again.

"It wasn't my night. I didn't land the good shots, I was in good shape but his game was better than mine.

"It felt like a Rocky movie and I was one punch away from knocking him out but I couldn't quite do it.

"Even when I was in a bad way. I trained hard and was in good shape but it wasn't good enough."

He would've won a decision at the very least.

regardless, injury was always possible with haye's lack of action and bellew took advantage so wd to him. hopefully there will be a rematch.

solid fight, fair play to haye.

which is the bigger fight tonight?

haye vs bellew
or garcia vs thurman

I think the Garcia fight is bigger.

Not sure about that at all.

Hayes fked his ankle from getting knocked down so its a legit injury off getting floored, that's not Bellews problem, that's like saying the only reason Weidman beat Anderson Silva was because Anderson broke his leg.

Hayes main problem was that all else was equal, height the same, but Hayes was a stone and a bit heavier, tonked up muscle and simply slower and carrying more weight.

One way or another (as I said to my mates before the fight) if Hayes doesn't tune him up before Rd 6 he's going to have a problem.

Bellew was very patient almost too patient at times but took Hayes apart methodically.

Yes if Hayes ankle was snapped I pity him, but Bellew took his punches and Hayes was having trouble landing due to being too muscled (remember he's a blown up CW).

Crusier weight Hayes would of won that fight, Hayes has more skill but his slowness due to putting on that muscle at HW negated that skill advantage as he was slower.
