As I said Bob Arum was complaining about Haymon paying his fighters too much, and that's coming from a fellow promoter.
Also remember when Broner rejected an offer from Hearn and called it a "slave deal" because he makes more with PBC even though he loses whenever he faces elite competition?
Point is PBC fighters are paid well, there's a reason why he's built such a big stable and they're all happy to be with him.
Also Floyd wouldn't have let Haymon make any money off him unless he liked him and thought he was a good businessman.
Floyd praises Haymon to the heavens.
Yes he does because when he needs your product but doesn't own it, he's a good business partner who can get sh*t done, Floyd and Al were making money "together" as partners, if Haymon owned Floyd, Floyd would of got fleeced compared to the sort of money he's used to making, Haymon can get you the fights you want, he can help you get better money from the TV deals etc, that's what Floyd needed Haymon to do, to open doors and get their max cut, Haymon made more money from working with Floyd than he does on his owned bum fighters like Broner so of course Haymon was up for it, if Haymon makes 10% of a Mayweather Promotion fight that's $5m from a $50m Mayweather fight, Broner makes $1m per fight if that and they have to split that between them, if Haymon owned Mayweather than Mayweather's % plummets like a mofo.
All I know is that Eddie Hearn has helped AJ to become the best paid boxer in the world alongside Canelo, their selling out record venues all around the world and all the other competition is giving up and walking over to their side.
Take DAZN, just a year ago the other promoters were claiming "Its a joke, they'll crumble" the fighters were skittish etc .......... a year later, Canelo, GGG, Billy Joe Saunders, Usyk, everybody has come on board.
Only Wilder and Fury hasn't and that's because their promoters have thrown the sink at them to keep their only money maker, look at the deal Warren got for Fury, why didn't he get him that before? its because DAZN and Matchroom are starving everyone else into submission.
.............. i comes down to this, if Haymon was so great then why is Wilder making $5m per fight and wasn't even making that before the Fury fight yet Joshua as a challenger just got $60m?
The numbers speak for themselves, even Hearn himself has said he can't understand why Wilder isn't bigger than he is, he said he's been poorly managed.
............... and when Haymon is making Wilder turn down $100m offers then yeah, no wonder he isn't making that money, poorly managed.
