I didn't know Shelly Finkel was hard at work in the gym and can't return phone calls?

And you say my excuses are bad?

The only reason they may avoid discussions is to stall, nothing more, the promotion tour is over, the fighters are just in training now, Shelly has plenty of free time on his hands till nearer December.

Va-Va-Voom wrote:Are you serious? They can't meet with Wilder in December because they don't want to hurt Whyte's feelings...?

The fact this is the best you could come up with to explain why Hearn won't wait until December shows how ridiculous it is.

There is literally no reason Hearn can't wait until December if he wants to make it happen in April.

.............. but that's not the best I can come with, you picked one possible theory over a few I gave, the most notable would be if Hearn gets wind that Fury has a rematch clause, end of discussion.

Or are you now going to talk up why Hearn should waste his time for 2 months just to be told, Wilder vs Fury rematch was already a go before the first fight even finishes?

What about the part where I said Wilder would be entitled to a bigger percentage if he beats Fury?

How would it make any sense for him to sign before recording the biggest win of his career and boosting his stock?

Why would Wilder sign a contract for AJ if he knows there is a rematch clause for the Fury fight?

Completely ignoring the rematch clause though?

If that exists and I'm 90% sure it does, then this whole discussion is moot ........... and its not Hearn's fault, or are you going to blame him for that now?

Don't forget also possibly Hearn's rush to get something going could be for the same reason the Povetkin fight happened, Joshua has 3x belts, any one of those orgs could be pressuring Hearn and so if nothings announced they could drop a mandatory.

Fact is Hearn's sending offers, sending contracts, requesting meetings ............ what more can the man do? yet your conclusion is Joshua's ducking?

Makes sense.

Again I ask

Why would Wilder sign to fight Joshua if he knows there is a rematch clause?

All Hearn has to do is request a meeting immediately following Wilder vs Fury.

This is one reason why Wilder isn't going to fight Joshua in April.

Deontay Wilder:
”We don’t have no cap on the revenue. Whatever it makes, it goes up. Our pay-per-view here, we can go $59 [million] up to $100 [million]. Their pay-per-view sells for no more than $20 bucks, period, flat-line,”

If there is scope for it i.e if its competitive ............ this carousel will be going round again for the rematch.

Deontay wants this more than the unification fight because after 40 fights, he wants, needs that cash.

I think Wilder vs Joshua happens after April, I say summer 2019 or autumn.

DG, you've started with anecdotal evidence and mischaracterizations of what people said, but now you're just flat out making stuff up. Like the quote you posted has nothing to do with your conclusions. You're painting this beautiful picture with your bias but It's all speculation and nonsense. It's time to stop. You're beating a dead horse at this point.

................. this post is drivel, nothing more.

I don't even understand why your accusing me of this BS, what am I making up?

I have been talking to VaVa of why I believe the April fight won't happen, i.e because Deontay is likely to rematch Fury and after the numbers he's mentioned in that "Direct quote" which you say is a mischaracterization?? I'm showing the evidence if why that is likely to happen.

Its just common sense.

He's making a lot more against Fury than he would against Joshua, remember Hearn offered £15m, Wilder is saying he's looking at $50m - $100m .......... does that need any more spelling out?

WBC has apparently said winner of the Fury v Wilder fight will face AJ.

No more ducking. It's happening.

They can say what they want but unless they pull a mandatory (AJ's not even in their rankings, Whyte and Brezeale are the no1 ranked) then they can't do sh*t.

They can't force the negotiations or the contracts so they're just chirping as far as I'm concerned.

I read the article and they basically said they support the idea and would like Deontay to do it, but again, they have no hold over Joshua that I'm aware of so its not a deciding factor.

I like what the President said here though ...........

"To see boxing with 90,000 fans, regardless which country you're in, has to be a great motivation which shows the moment that is being lived in the UK, in England, with Joshua.

"I much rather see fights in stadiums than in casinos. I like to see the fans at the arenas."
