The general boxing thread

A unification between Joshua and Deontay Wilder appears to be a million miles away. Team Wilder aren't even returning Hearn's emails.

"Well, to say Deontay Wilder's camp has gone quiet, that's saying it lightly," the Matchroom boss said to Sky Sports.

"Probably up to six unanswered emails now. In fact, I sent one a couple of days ago, saying I just want to check these haven't gone into your Spam items.

"It is frustrating because you walk out there on the street 'When's he going to fight Deontay Wilder?' It's like, whenever they want it, but sometimes the public want to believe a fighter on Instagram all day.

"If they wanted the fight, they would talk to me.

"They're not even talking to us. We've made offers, we've made percentage splits. Everything we can do, to try and make that fight."

Hearn reveals Fury is a more likely opponent than the undefeated-American WBC world champion.

"I think right now, there's more chance of fighting Tyson Fury. There's a man that knows he can have this fight, if he wants it. I've spoken to him. He knows if he wants to fight Joshua, it can happen April 13," he added.

"All those guys that I've mentioned, particularly Wilder, Fury and Whyte - that fight is there for them."

Dear God wilder.

Guess it's down to fury. Does he take on the champ or go for a rematch no one wants ?

Fury camp has responded. Warren ducking. Embarrassing

Wants 50/50 spilt. Why? Joshua is bringing all the belts to the table. Doesn't even deserve the 60/40 split Hearn offered.

Seems like Warren is running scared for his fighter

Exactly this, people banging on like lemons about Joshua not gifting away millions when ......... he's the bloody 4x belt champ??

Why does Joshua need to go begging? this is a chance for Fury / Wilder to take the HW Div and they're not interested, pathetic.

Whyte's even worse, mans complaining about a title shot, gets a 4x belt offer but apparently needs more money??

How scared are they ffs? Hearn said he offered Fury 60/40, lol what's wrong with that offer? especially for what you gain!

Unliek what VaVa thinks I think its obvious that these HW's are getting worried about facing Joshua, if it was an easy win then 60/40 of a fight of this magnitude is more than enough, what's Fury's problem?

Let them refuse Joshua's offers

History will forget them.

It's hardly new or controversial that the guy with the most belts gets the most money. They're only kidding themselves and their fangirls

I'm just stating what is likely to happen, there is a very high probability that is next since Pacquiao beat Broner.

Most crucially is the fact Manny signed with PBC/Al Haymon, he is now with the under the same promotional banner as Floyd.

That means this is an in-house fight, all the money generated will go to PBC so Haymon will want this fight to to happen.

It won't mean much - Manny is 40 and Floyd will be 42 - both a decade removed from their prime, but I would definitely watch.

Both are legends who have done a ton for the sport, let them get another big payday, it's not like they'd be holding up any other fights from happening.

What ever, I think they're above money concerns about now, why the fk am I going to worry about the pocket of Floyd "money" Mayweather ffs?

This is the problem with fans these days, all up in peoples business, their money, their marketing etc .......... what the fk happened to following a fighter because he's good at boxing and in his prime, whipping ass and fighting for titles?

Anyway let them match up again, I won't be watching ........... I haven't watched Floyd's last exhibition BS either.

Give me Deontay, Usyk hell I'd rather watch Eubank Jr than Mayweather round about now.

I follow Floyd and Manny because they are two of my favourites who have carried the sport for over a decade.

We'll never see the likes of them again, absolute legends.

You're acting like Manny/Floyd 2 will affect the sport or something, it will be a one-off rematch between two legends who are past their prime.

It's happened frequently throughout the history of boxing, there's nothing wrong with that, everyone knows what it is.

Btw Manny is the IBF champion, so he is fighting for titles.

Also Manny got screwed over by Bob Arum for years and he gives away a lot of money to the Filipino people, so yes I want him to get one last big payday.
