Canelo controlled the fight, he was stalking the supposed brawler all night.
GGG finished strong but Canelo was ahead by then.
He won the fight with body punches, sapped the energy and power.
Legendary fight.
First fight everyone thinks GGG won, Canelo gets the draw.
This fight, much closer and leaning towards a draw, Canelo gets the win. (Public opinion still that GGG won and judge on HBO had him winning too)
The whole "Canelo was winning the story of the fight" narrative had me laughing. "He's taking more damage and losing, but... uhm... he's CHOOSING to do so, therefore, he's winning". Perfect logic. Give me stats of who landed more and who landed cleaner shots, i guarantee Golovkin wins. I don't care if you're chasing a fighter if you're taking the punishment while doing so. If Mayweather fought the same fight Golovkin did, he gets called a genius and gets the decision.
But, oh well, lesson learned, never leave the decision to the judges when you're fighting the boxing cash cow.
