Khan v McCloskey

Khan v McCloskey

Postby rorythegooner » Tue Apr 05, 2011 6:28 pm

Whats the opinions on the Khan v McCloskey fight that is on soon? I know Khan is a clear favourite but I have a sneaky suspiscion it might not go all his way. Paul McCloskey is a very awkward southpaw and he rarely gets hit whilst he does have a few bombs of his own. Khan is super quick and his hand speed is probably second to none but he is a bit chinny and can be got at.....should be an interesting battle IMO

I think it will be a very tough fight for Khan, as you say he is a tricky southpaw with an awlward style that i don't believe Khan has experienced.

However, Khan showed against Maidana that he is a different beast nowadays, the Roach camp has transformed him, i think he will be too much, but it should be a good battle.

Have to admit he didnt look that chinny against Maidana!! Roach undoubtably is the best trainer in the world so that can only be good for Khan, I mean he is sparring with the machine that is Pacquiao!!!

There is a certain fight Khan needs to fight again. Shame he won't for some reason.

I think his face is still wobbling! ha!

I'm starting to respect him more these days. Doesn't come across as such a big c*** any more, just a bit of a c*** now.

Khan would defeat Prescott now. Roach has made him a different fighter since then.
Only Timothy Bradley in his division can beat him. Should he step up to Welterweight there are a number of pay days on offer there.

Well he certainly has a better chin these days and no doubt he is in the best possible condition but you never know, one of those bombs from Prescott could bring the bad memories flooding back very quickly!! Anyway cant see Khan ever taking that fight.

Would love to see Dudey do a number on him though as he lives just a few miles away from me.

I've no doubt Khan would destroy Prescott now but I still think it's a fight he needs to take.

There's no money in it though mate.
Prescott's career has gone backwards at a rate of knotts since he beat Khan.
It was actually put forward as a potential fight for this date (this fight is purely about keeping Khan busy) but then they secured McCloskey, who was seen as an easier opponent to sell.

After beating McCloskey inside 4 rounds (my prediction) Khan will face Bradley.
Then it will be "elite fights" only from then on.

Prescott would need to get himself back into title contention but that's not going to happen.

This fight will no longer be pay per view on Sky Box-Office.
It'll now be on normal Sky Sports.
