Confirmed to fight for vacant WBC light middleweight title on 13 November, so long as Margarito can obtain a boxing licence from Nevada State committee.

I f**king hate Maywether. Last I heard they came to a compromise over the whole drug test thing. Maywether sucks. Pacquiao will get a fight with Valuev before Maywether!

It's a shame. I honestly think the best thing for a fighter is to lose their first professional fight. The longer they stay undefeated the more they obssess over it... Does anyone actually care that Maywether hasn't lost? We just wanna see the "fight of the century" between him and Pacman.

I'm surprised we haven't been talking about this more guys.

At 5'11" Margarito is the biggest Pacquaio has fought, and he weighed in on the money, not way under like De La Hoya. Pacman's been confortable at all weights, it's as if any size deficit has no effect on the man. But like I said, this is the biggest Pacman has fought, there has to be a point where size will have a say.

However,I think (and hope, because I hate Margarito - because of him that we never saw Cotto at his best) Pacman will do the job in 8 rounds. Mosley showed that Margarito couldn't live with pace, and he's never seen pace like Pacman.

Well, I predicted Pacman would win with the minimum of fuss. Margarito has given him somewhat of a fight. Into round 8, and it's still anyone's fight...

He could have finished it in the 4th. Stayed on the ropes a bit in the next couple of rounds to wear Margarito down. From the 8th onwards he was just toying with him.

He took a couple of shots, and with an opponent that much bigger than you there's always a danger. But for me, he still wasn't given a fight. It was pure domination from start to finish. It was a master class. He made yet another fellow professional look leagues below. Ridiculous!

F**k it! If Maywether ducks him, bring on Valuev!!!

I agree with Est83, it was a masterclass from Pacquaio.
Cotto, Clottey and now Margarito.
These are (as Jamie Redknapp would say) top, top class boxers and he's making them look ordinary.

What did we witness? On paper there's no way that should have happened

I was convinced Cotto would do something, I was convinced that he would have the size that De La Hoya should have had (just a couple inches shorter of course), but in much the same fashion Pacman started to toy with Cotto around the 4th, just as he did with Margarito!

Margarito stepped into that ring as a clear light middleweight, 17 lbs heavier and 5inches taller... Pacquaio chopped him down like he was anyone else. It was quite surreal! I'd maybe say the second round was even, but the rest were all Pacquaio.

He's come up the equivalent of 10 weight classes; from flyweight to light middle. It's unheard of. He's demolishing guys who are naturally much bigger than he is.
I do wonder if they thin his blood or pump it with oxygen.

Pacquio is without a shadow of doubt the best pound for pound fighter in the World and one of the best i have ever seen.

Ferocious power, ferocious speed, heart, harder than a coffin nail and intelligent.

In many ways...The most complete boxer i have laid my eyes on.

Mayweather should be running scared and for good reason, because as i said some months back, i do not believe for a second that Mayweather has a chance against Pacquiao.

And he is a Gooner, how can you beat that?
