Klitschko v Haye

Klitschko v Haye

Postby Libertine » Thu Apr 02, 2009 12:31 pm

The heavyweight world title fight between Wladimir Klitschko v David Haye has been agreed and will take place on June 20th.
The venue will be announced next week, with Berlin the favourite.

Hopefully, i'll be going to this. :)

I wouldnt get too ahead of yourselves lads... No doubt they will pull out again and take on some half arsed fighter instead.

I think both brothers fear Haye becuase they know they could make/break thier boxing careears.
On one hand if they beat him they would be recognized as a good boxer,on the other hand if hes beaten then he'll get shown up as a boxer whos just strolled along being an avergae boxer in a poor divison.

I reckon this is definitely happening now L'il Mo.
Haye and Klitschko were both on Setanta yesterday saying they'd signed the contract to fight on June 20th.
Interestingly, Klitschko said he was disappointed that Haye's people couldn't deliver a London venue.
Looks like the fight will be in Berlin now.

No chance. Neither of the Kiltshko brothers are actually good boxers, simply avergae boxers in a very very poor division.
Neither of them have ever done anything to make people otherwise and when both of them come up against Haye they will get well and truly beaten.

haha, i do agree that the are the best of a bad bunch, but lewis couldnt ko vitali, there is no way haye will, vitali will ko hae as soon as he hits him, as for the younger one... i,m saying he has no chin, but remmeber peter samual put him down 3 times, but he got up to win on points

i just dont see haye taken these wacks

Unfortunately (because i'm a huge Haye fan) i agree with you mate.

I fancy Haye to knock-out Wladimir inside 4 rounds.

Vitali is a completely different kettle of fish though........

True mate, but Lewis was on the way out when he fought Vitali so I wouldn't really have expect a KO from that fight.
Wildimar as you say,has no chin. So I think Haye will exploit it and I think he'll pull through becuase haye's MUCH faster than any of the fighters Wildimar has fought big slow guys who goe toe-toe with him.

I just haye will be too fast and strong for Wildimar and by the time he fights Vitali he'll be past it so haye should breeze past him becuase by then he'll have a few good heavyweight fights under his belt.

I'm hearing stories that this fight is OFF.

An injury to Haye in training apparently.

Haven't seen anything official yet.

Injury halts Haye title challenge

David Haye's world heavyweight title fight against Wladimir Klitschko in Germany on 20 June has been called off.

The decision to postpone the IBF, WBO and IBO title contest was taken after Londoner Haye, 28, suffered an injury in training at his base in Cyprus.

The pair were due to meet in front of a 60,000 sell-out crowd at Schalke O4 FC's Veltins Arena.

It now looks like this fight is dead in the water.

Klitschko's people are looking to fight Chagaev (who's fight against Valuev was cancelled last week) on June 20th.

Could be October/November before Haye gets an opportunity to fight Klitschko.
