Can hold it August at the earliest

Wembley would be ideal but Saudi next best choice

I heard Saudi Arabia and Dubai are all in a bidding war.

Not if they keep performing the way Roy Jones did against Tyson.

I've never seen Roy look so much like he didn't want to fight in my life, the interview, before and during the fight, Roy just looked like he didn't want to be involved.

Plus Tyson was deliberately hunting the body, being too merciful for my liking.

Either be competitive or don't bother, they're fighting people their own age, so there is no advantage.

They're just doing to it make some money. Nobody wants to get hurt.

Then you don't box, simple as that.

Boxing is essentially a fight, its not Tennis ffs.

Its a disgrace to the sport I know and love to try and make an exhibition a professional bout.

Unless you clearly state its an exhibition then that's different.

Everyone should know it's just a show. Why on earth would two 50+ guys get in the ring and knock hell out of each other?

If they need a few quid for this and that I don't have a problem with it. And if people are too stupid to realise it's an exhibition that's their problem.

I took no interest in it from the off. Just two older guys making a few quid.

My issue is with how they market it.

If they state its an exhibition and if people are happy to pay to watch it then fair enough, but they always try to market it as a pro fight.

........... then you tune in and Tysons doing body shots and avoiding the face, that leaves a bad taste for me.

They're having 2 fights though remember.

The plan is................

1st fight - Arabia to maximise profit regardless of Covid rules, up front money basically.

2nd fight - In England when the crowds are fully back.

I see what you mean, but did you really think they'd be knocking hell out of each other? I concluded from when they first announced it that it'd be an exhibition.

I think both fights will be in Saudi.

They're re-branding themselves and the publicity will be terrific.

I agree. Just think he will be too smart for AJ and Aj has a glass jaw which he'll have to protect for 12 rounds.
He stayed on the outside and boxed Ruiz, but he'll lose that kind of fight to Fury.
Aj's hope is landing a big punch - i.e. a punchers chance.

And he's not quick enough to catch Fury.

Fury will wear him down with the jab and probably stop him late in the fight.

Let the ducking commence

They're wayyyy to far down the line to pull out now.

Whoever walks away from this at this point will be castrated in the press and amongst the fans.

They've announced its done about 3 times already.

I think both parties are holding out for the most money they can get.

Probably trying to squeeze more out of the arabs.

There could also be other fighters in play. Wilder for instance may have a rematch pending with Fury and that could complicate things. He will either have to be compensated or promised a match against the winner. I doubt the latter would be done because there's no doubt there'll be a Fury/Joshua rematch in the contract for this fight.

These things can be complicated.

As a starting point to finding out what is going on, step 1 is to ignore every single word that comes out of Eddie Hearn's mouth.

Sounds like he has been cashing cheques without the funds to cover them.
