Cripps wrote:If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that Cole wanted that extra £5k to pay his agent. Arsenal said the agent isn't their employee and he should be paid by Cole himself out of the 55k he was offered.

We did nothing wrong there.

As for Dein, rot started whilst he was still here so he's no saviour that some think he is

Yeah. Dein was pissed Arsenals other officials allowed Ribery to leave a meeting without a contract being signed.

Cheers Pires, every man and his dog (apart from Cripps) can see that.

I think the old Wenger who was a winner through and through died and the Devil replaced him with this loser.

Anyone listen to David Dein on Talksport (collin murray) earlier? Quite interesting. I don’t konw how to post the audio on here but it's worth a listen. Lehman was also on and was saying how David Dein being around, gave the team and club a massive boost during the great years, especially the invisible season.

Also whoever the presenter with Murray was, asked Wenger when he was watching a match stats analysis video once, 'would you ever drop a player if if there stats are low on this?' Wengers reply was, 'no but I might sell them if they're really good!'
Invincibility lies in the defence; the possibility of victory in the attack.

Plus, I remember someone saying he wanted us to move to Wembley, or share a stadium with the yids. :naughty:

Dein's departure imho is the single main reason that the club has been in a steady decline for the past 9 years. He seemed to be the only person at the club to stand up to Wenger and concentrate his mind on team related matters rather than him playing part-time economist and football politician.

I remember Henry cited Dean's departure as one of the reasons he decided it was time to leave Arsenal for Barca - whether that was just a vapid excuse or not, it still speaks volumes to the influence Dean had at the club.
