Lol

Wenger got what he wanted. He didn't mention Jose cos he is petty and he knew Jose would be wound up and Jose fell for it.

Why would he mention him?

There's nothing to mention.

Jose destroyed the invincibles, Wenger's greatest creation and team. Worthy of a mention I'd say.

All the stuff that went on between them. All the truths that Jose said. All the crap Wenger said.

Plenty to mention and Wenger's pettiness came to the fore. He knew what he was doing though. Jose fell for it.

Both acting like kids.

Don't be so naive

Not really, United did.

They were the ones who ended our unbeaten run and took our mojo, they also embarrassed us 4-2 at home in the return fixture.

As Ang said Chelsea never beat us that season.

We finished above United and beat them in the cup final. Chelsea won the title at a canter

The arrival of Jose and Chelsea's rise had a significant effect on the Premier League and our strategy for moving stadiums.

Sounds like wengers book might be a bit boring, he doesn't seem like Fergie who would mention most things

It's a pointless book if he doesn't mention everything.

In Ornstein's podcast, Wenger did throw shade at SAF. David asked him about SAF changing his backroom staff at regular intervals, which Wenger didn't. Wenger responded by saying that SAF didn't conduct trainings on his own, so he rotated his backroom staff. He also mentioned that SAF didn't have to function in an environment amidst a stadium rebuild.

Wenger has been pretty stern in his interviews. He built the training facility and the stadium. He repaid most of it during his tenure via the UCL money and Arsenal's self-sustainable model. No manager in modern football history has had as much influence and out-of-field success as Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

There's a stat where Wenger comes on top when you equate money spent to trophies/matches won.

We've spent £300m since Wenger left. Perspective.

As for Jose coming in and rocking the boat, we won the FA Cup and finished 2nd in 04/05 when we had no spending power. We reached the UCL Final in 05/06.

By 07, Jose had already run away from Chelsea because he doesn't have it in him to rebuild a squad after getting bitchslapped.

In 15/16, we beat his Chelsea side in the Community Shield. He was sacked that same season after they were near relegation territory.

Jose has 2 UCLs. Wenger didn't win one. Yet, they way Jose moans about Wenger, you'd think Wenger won multiple trebles and UCLs.

He's jealous. He's insecure. Wenger has a footballing legacy. Jose is a checkbook manager who's lost the dressing room in his last three jobs.

As for the UCL, di Matteo won one with "Jose's club." Says everything.

Jose bootlickers can thump their chests as much as they want. He's at Spurs. He's their manager. Alea iacta est.

Whisky I acknowledge Wenger did help pay the stadium debt off, did we need to be as stingy as we were.

Surely the extra revenue from the move cancelled out the debt we needed to paid off each year

For me everything went wrong when dein left, soon as dein left we became tight.

With dein we turned down a 50m offer for Henry
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 001674.stm

Months after dein left we sell Henry for 15m.

I believe we could have spent a bit more, we didn't speculate to accumulate.

Mourinho talk triggers some of you way too much. Why so insecure about his influence on the Premier League? It doesn't take anything away from what Wenger achieved.

If he doesn't talk about some of the moments that are personal or more of the behind the scenes stuff that we'd really want to know and it's the same sort of guarded approach we get for his interviews, there isn't much point in buying it.
