I also found it interesting that Wenger still contemplates if he should have brought on Flamini on at the time, and taken off Cesc instead of Bobby. Both (Bobby and Cesc) have always been defensive liabilities, but I most certainly feel Bobby had that moment of magic in him, so Flamini for Cesc would have made more sense. Losing a champions league final was not a dark night for arsenal. It should have been a launchpad for greater things.

After that game I walked through chapel market with my son proud that the club I supported had been involved in the final of the premier European club competitions. The fact that it was not shared reflected on the nature of fans now. We need to grow up and bounce back better.
