If you don't want us to hold onto every potential talent we have for years, at the expense of replacing them with more established talent, then from time-to-time some of these players are going to go on and become expensive talent we might regret having sold. You can't have it both ways.

What the hell happened to Alexis Sanchez? How can a player go from being so good to so bad with just one transfer? This is unprecedented in football. I literally can’t think of another such situation.

Close. But still think Sanchez edges him.

Quote from his book. The context is Arsenal were talking to his agent about a new deal and had offered him £60k a week. They were asking for £70k. When David Dean found out they’d been talking to Chelsea he reduced the offer.

‘When I heard Jonathan Barnett repeat the figure of £55K, I nearly swerved off the road. He is taking the piss Jonathan! I yelled down the phone. I was so incensed. I was trembling with anger. I couldn’t believe what I’d heard.’

Different world.

Plenty of ex Gunners on show at the Kompany testimonial.

They should have a seniors tour like they do in tennis. Would be fun to watch.

Nice to see Gnabry not forgetting where he came from and is giving it to the spuds big time.
