Tony Adams.

True stuff actually.

Think Gabriel can become leader?. No one else seems like one except Alexis. :dontknow:

Lol what he hardly speaks English, defending a lot doesn't make him a leader.

Mertesacker, Arteta, Flamini and Coquelin are the only leaders we have.

This.
And as others have said we need a leader more than anything in this team at the moment imo.

Would never say no to Chippy or DB10 though.

That is a very hard one. Wright is definitely the better striker in terms of being more clinical and his array of finishes, but I think RVP is the superior player overall. His technique/link-up play is the difference.

In saying that, we never really had Wright in his prime - I believe he was 28 when he signed - if he joined in his early 20's he would have scored well over 300 goals for the club.

Wright was a late bloomer in fairness.

But would agree with your sentiments. Wright was a prolific striker and loved the guy.
But it was very noticable when Wright joined us that the goals dried up form our midfield.
Whether that was down to Graham's change of tactics to conquer Europe or Wright am no so sure.
The teams of '89 and '91 were not reliant on one scorer as our midfield consistently scored.
RVP at his best brought others into the game as well as keeping a high scoring rate.

RVP should get on all fours and enter Crufts next year and gorge himself on lovely poisoned meat. Just saying.

Tony Adams, without a doubt! We have had lots of great strikers down the years but genuine leaders are hard to find.

One? I'll take two.

We need a combative CM, hence, Petit. We also need a top draw striker, hence, Wright.

Ospina
Debuchy - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Monreal
Coquelin - Petit
Walcott - Ozil - Sanchez
Wright
