But his declining effectiveness also ain't wrong.
The china comments really pissed off the club, but due to pr they couldnt drop him for it. But the moment he questioned the clubs intentions with pay cut they had their excuse and had something they could please the chinese commies. Either way the club has been lying through its teeth and its insult for the manager to come out and lie over and over to the fans. He can do one as far as Im concerned. This team has zero creativity and again we saw last night and they tell us Ozil couldnt contribute nothing. We are bottom 3 in terms of creating and shooting on goal in the league
Did Emery also keep him out of the team because of the China comments?
Face it, the guy is no good and he doesn't care about playing football at the top level. I don't care if we don't have a single shot on target for the rest of the season, Ozil still isn't the answer.
Emery dropped him, and reverted back to selecting him. He had the Neymar hangover when he came here. You can't use a coach who failed here, who was sacked for his incompetence, as a justification for what Arteta pulled off.
You don't know if he cares or not. What we know is that he's still a Gunner. He's still the second highest paid player here. As Ozil's agent commented, Wenger didn't omit Arteta from the squad in his final two seasons here even when Arteta had lost his legs.
Ozil isn't our worst player. As long as he's on the payroll, one would expect a tactical coach to use him accordingly. He need not start or play every game. You could select him in the EL and the cups, whilst dropping him in the League.
Any one with brain cells can gauge that this isn't a move entirely motivated by form and consistency. It's time people accepted this and moved on.
Ozil won't be here next season. Arteta will be. And he will be in hot water if he can't help us gel as an attacking unit.
The onus was never and isn't on Ozil. It's on Arteta.
