Nice try though

The former Arsenal midfielder was banned by the Turkish club for allegedly having a verbal altercation with interim manager Ismail Kartal.

Fenerbahce's statement

"The news that Mesut Ozil did not play because his debts from the club were not paid have nothing to do with the facts," read a statement. "As we have often experienced, this kind of fake news that is created completely haphazardly without being confirmed by any official from our club is beyond our tolerance limit... payments have been made on time until now."

Nice try though

Got too political (which is fine) and lost his interest in football imo. I know he claims he still wants to play and try his best blah blah but it's clear he's just not that interested any more. Turkey was always gonna be a holiday.

Sad really, wasted his last 5/6 years now.

It would appear that Ozil is going to the MLS, you would think that even Ozil at 50% would look classy in that league.

With all due respect to the MLS, I have been watching a few games live on Sky lately and some of the players have worse decision making than you see in League Two when it comes to passing, Ozil's eye for a pass would be a vital asset to many of the teams.

Watch this space, because if he dont have the class around him he wont create it imo

Arteta’s fault for not having a solution for him. Two seasons later he is still searching for his teams creative spark.

The legend officially retires

What a player. What a career.

One of the best we've seen at the Emirates. Joined us when we were absolute garbage and ended our long wait for a trophy.

Bring him back as coach tbh. Our young attacking midfielders need some guidance.

Read cesc was at our training ground helping out. Get rid of him and bring ozil home

Pretty sure it was these three guys who did that:

However, the eye test doesn't lie. Ozil graced this club with some of the most fantastic football I've ever seen.

But the opposite of what you want in a football coach.

As a player, he was 11/10 in terms of skill/talent, but 3/10 in terms of mentality. Embarrassed himself at the end and I don't rate him as a person but in terms of pure skill he's up there with Bergkamp.
