Tomáš Rosický ~ Little Mozart

Tomas Rosicky will be at Arsenal next season, according to Arsene Wenger.

The midfielder, 33, is out of contract this summer but has consistently said he wants to finish his career at the club.

Wenger stopped short of offering that guarantee when asked about Rosicky's future, but a new deal appears inevitable.

"Tomas Rosicky will stay here at the end of the season," Wenger said. "He is a marvellous player and contributes well to the team.

"He is certainly a typical Arsenal player in the way that he is mobile, technically sound and team-orientated. So he is a fantastic football player."

Rosicky is in his eighth season at Arsenal, but injuries have restricted him to just 92 Premier League starts.

I just hope and pray Wenger does not use this as an excuse to not to sign a top quality holding midfielder. I know Rosicky is more of an attacking mid but knowing Wenger and his love for attacking mids we may not sign a DM in summer.

Arsenal newcomer Mesut Özil has given high praise to his teammate and fellow midfielder, Tomáš Rosický. Özil, a German international and widely considered as one of the top midfielders in the world, spoke to Arsenal.com on Rosický. Özil stated, "In my opinion Tomáš belongs to the best midfielders in the Premier League."

Özil went on to compare Rosický to himself, "We're strong when we're on the ball, we play quickly and I have lots of fun playing alongside the team. When you see how much he gives for the team and how he enjoys being on the ball it makes us happy to have a player like that in our ranks."

While Rosický may not normally receive the praise he deserves, no one works harder on the pitch than the Czech international. The 33-year-old Rosický plays much younger than his age and quite frequently out-hustles players 10 years his junior. With the Czech being in great form at the moment, fans surely did not like to see Rosický leave Monday's match with a suspected broken nose. It remains to be seen how long the 33-year-old will be out for.

The versatile Rosický can play both as an attacking midfielder and out on the wing. Although his contract expires this summer, Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has assured Gunner fans that Rosický will be returning next season. Wenger spoke to the media ahead of Arsenal's match against Aston Villa on Monday. "Look, Tomáš Rosický will stay here at the end of the season. He is a marvelous player and contributes well to the team."

Wenger went on to say, "He (Rosický) is certainly a typical Arsenal player in the way that he is mobile, technically sound and team orientates. So he is a fantastic football player."

With the help of Özil and Rosický, along with Mikel Arteta, Santi Cazorla, Mathieu Flamini, Aaron Ramsey, and Jack Wilshere, Arsenal possesses one of the top midfield groups not only in England, but around the world.

Probably bullshit. He's a Dortmund legend and Bayern don't need him.

Arsène Wenger had contract news and in the absence of him finally confirming that he will prolong his 17½-year association with Arsenal beyond the end of the season, it was probably the next best thing. Tomas Rosicky, the manager said, had reached agreement on a new deal. Like Wenger, Rosicky's current terms are set to expire in June.

"Tomas Rosicky will stay," Wenger said. "We have an agreement with him and it will come out soon. I am absolutely adamant he has to stay at the club."
