Imagine that, going off what gets reported and therefore is to the best of our knowledge. Bit like when the papers said we'd sign Alexis Sanchez over Liverpool? Shiiiiiiiiiiit.

Who here actually witnessed what happened?

Anyone? Thought not.

Not to say it didn't happen but people toss these stories around like gospel.

You are right mate
I have fallen into the great trap of hearsay and gossip that is anethema to how I generally live my life
I have no 1st account or insider information other than a desire for steve bould who is still here to be right and alex song who is not to be wrong
I have fallen at the alter of tittle tattle and am suitably chastened

So Alex song is a free agent and he's currently training us, which basically means we are planning on bringing him back and seeing as he's 30 it'll probably be a short term deal, this deal has us written all over it seeing as we desperately need another CDM and he can also play CB which is a bonus can't be any worse than Xhaka.

Anything is better than nothing, we need a CDM.

If Song is still capable fine, but we need a top new one as well eventually.

Song is fine, if he can get over his little issue with Bould (who is shit anyway) then why not.

I would bet that Song would do a better job than Xhaka, even at this stage of his career. I fail to see what Xhaka provides to the team aside from frustration. He might be the most unidimensional player in the team. The ONLY way I could see him contribute in any ways would be with a solid CDM besides him and skillful wingers. With time and protection provided by a proper CDM, he could then do the only thing he's good at: Pinging long passes to the wingers. THAT'S IT. If you don't plan on setting up the team for this (and there should be no reason to do so anyways), then just sell him because he's of no value to Arsenal whatsoever.

That's no doubt. Anyone in this team could do better than Xhaka at that position. We always play like a 10-men team when Xhaka is on.
