He was terrible for us and them; why is he still a starter, god awful defender. I never forgave him for giving that peno away to Birmingham on that horrible unforgettable day.

It was a dive if I remember right and also the free kick they scored their other goal from was also a dive, what a terrible match that was.

Clichy and Sagna were not big personalities when here, they kinda just did their jobs and got on with it so not surprised most fans don't have strong feelings on either. City fans seem to think he's already retired and on vacation. :P

He was superb in that season including at old Trafford and Stamford bridge
That was a shocking decision but one where we win and lose as a team
He did have a dip towards the end of his arsenal career but was a valuable member of the invincible squad
I remember him playing for us and like most of our ex players will always have my respect for that reason
This booing of everybody is very unarsenal

So true :rofll:

I don't even think of him as a former Arsenal player when we play them.

Funny that
In another thread you are saying how memorable winning the fa cup is
You don't just start at the semi final
Clichy played every minute of every fa cup game including the quarter final in our fa cup win in 05
Respect

Sagna is the last of the OGs.

Our most consistent world class player of the Emirates era and stayed loyal while all others jumped ship.

How he is missed.

Ridiculously complete as well - during his Arsenal career he never stopped getting better.

He arrived here as an unknown defenders' defender with good athletic ability who couldn't cross to save his life.

When he ultimately left to join City, he was one of the better crossers in the league, in addition to his natural defensive solidity.

Sagna very much proved that no matter how good or old you are, it's never too late and you're never too good to improve on certain aspects of your game - as long as the desire is there.

Easily the best right back in Premier League since the turn of the century.
