NEW BOOK COMING SOON . . . HIGHBURY MEMORIES
A lavishly illustrated hardback book to be published by Football World in Spring 2014

On the 10th anniversary of the record-breaking ‘Invincibles’ comes a book that will appeal to all Arsenal supporters who treasure special memories of the Highbury years.

This high quality production will cover the club’s history since their move to Highbury 100 years ago until the switch to The Emirates in 2006. We are inviting you, true Gunners fans, to share your special personal Highbury (not Emirates!) memories by answering 11 simple questions (see below). The best of your responses will appear in the book – a great, lasting legacy for generations of fans to enjoy. Get YOUR family’s name in the book. Be part of it . . .

If not all 11 questions, then please answer as many as possible. Type them on a Word document (or copy & paste them straight on to email) and then email them to arsenalmemories@gmail.com

ASAP AND BEFORE JANUARY 31, 2014.

If you don’t have email and will be hand-writing your answers, please reply by post to:

PHOTOS If you have photos taken at Highbury, or unusual memorabilia, that you think may be worthy of inclusion in the book, please forward them to us either by email or post (enclose SAE if you wish them to be returned after use).

1. What, and who was it, that led you to support Arsenal in the first place (please state Christian names of family members, etc) and what do you recall from your first visit to Highbury. What are your outstanding memories from that particular day or game?

2. Describe any pre-match rituals that you followed, or a favourite haunt (perhaps a pub or café) that you usually visited on your way to or from Highbury Stadium?

3. What stands out as your most vivid memory from a game at Highbury? This could be an unusual incident, or perhaps something bizarre, amusing or controversial.

4. Describe any ‘characters’ in the Highbury crowd who you recall and why they stood out.

5. Greatest goals you’ve ever seen scored at Highbury (NOT an away game) by Arsenal players? Please try and describe the goals as best you can.

6. Favourite all-time North London derby (home game) memory from the Highbury era?

7. The happiest and lowest you felt after watching a home game at Highbury – and why?

8. Name your three most favourite players from watching Arsenal at Highbury and say what made each of them so special to you.

9. Your ‘cult’ favourite – not necessarily the best, but a player you admired or liked.

10. What is your all-time favourite Arsenal home strip from the Highbury era?

11. What do you recall from your last visit to Highbury?
