How much would he be worth at his peak in today's market? 90M?

Today's market is extremely imbalanced and values are beyond unclear. In some parts of the world, Europe even, fees have remained somewhat similar, atleast, to what they were 10 years ago, whereas if they're bought by an oil club they are worth 15 times the 2004-value.

Thierry Henry in 2004 would be a 100m player atleast. He was as good as Ronaldo when he was in his Man Utd peak and generated a world record fee.

He should never have left, he could've feasibly scored 350+ goals for us and put the record out of reach forever.

Looking back, I wonder if he thinks winning the CL was worth leaving Arsenal and the legacy he could've further enhanced...?

ABSOLUTELY THIS.

purse-strings was a decent CF in a slightly above average team.

Henry was simply unplayable in a team of superstars. For a period of 2/3 years I watched Henry obliterate all before him & often wondered this guy couldn't improve as he was playing football from the gods.. But he did. The very next game he'd surpass his previous & this went on & on, like I said for 2/3 years. My dad would say ' cherish these times cos you'll never see the likes again' & of course, in the moment, & watching Henry practically walking on water I felt it would last forever. The football & team didn't I know, but the memories will.

Where did this RVP better than Henry thing come from? Iv'e scrolled through the thread and I haven't seen anyone say it.

Monaco are apparently really interested in signing Henry at the end of the MLS season - I think his contract runs up. PSG also rumoured to be interested. I'd absolutely love to see him back in Europe and we may even get to see him make an appearance or two in the Champions league.

It's potentially Thierry's last game for the NYRB this weekend and MLS fans are describing it as the end of an era.

Definitely going to be watching this one and it could well be his very last game as a professional - Who knows!?
