The Thierry Henry ZONE!

One of my favorite youtubers with a video on the 'Henry Zone'

The expert of passing the ball in the net at 45 degrees.

I forgot what it was like to see a 1v1...

He was through on goal so much more than anybody we've had since it's disgusting.
This space used to be more fun...

"Passing the ball into the net" he made it look so simple.

The best striker I've seen in my lifetime, Bergy with a close 2nd place, others like RvP are way behind in class and elegance.

God I miss him, when I visited Barcelona some years ago I went to a CL game to see him for the first time but he was injured.. :( I hope he returns for a finale wearing our badge, will do everything to see him with my own eyes.

It's also down to a change of tactics...

Yeah, we'd rather walk the ball the length of the pitch now.

Especially in the 07-10 era that was our tactic, literally pass, pass, pass, killer pass - (instead of finishing it off) - pass a bit more and then try to walk the ball into the net but fail in doing so half of the time. It has more or less changed in the last 2 seasons though, mainly due to a lack of footballing quality. We used to play beautiful football but at times its excesses was frustrating to watch.

Yeah, Giroud isn't quick enough to beat the offside trap to get into 1 on 1 situations.

Well we don't keep the ball as well these days, so really the pressure we invite on ourselves should provide the opportunity to set up some decent counters and a few one-one-one opportunities in the final third... but oh no, we're not too great at that counter stuff anymore either.

I remember when every other goal we scored was a counter, used to do it a hell of a lot against the bigger teams.

In the 90's and early 00's counter attacks was the best way to play.

Watch some Serie A at its peak, much better than modern tiki taka, some goals are outstanding. some goals, only 3 touches from one penalty box to the other between three players and a goal.

The level of technique from everyone was outstanding.

Righting his wrongs! Thierry Henry pulls off the penalty trick he failed with Robert Pires at Arsenal in 2005

^^ name them cause there's no chance you are talking about Robin "one good season" van Persie or Adebawhore.. Wright was a great player but Henry and Bergy are some levels above him IMO.

As for strikers not playing for us, fat Ronaldo Del Piero and Raul were among the best I've seen as well but they didn't make it look so easy as Henry or Bergy did.

Judas was not even close to Henry, not even remotely close. Judas, talented and technical, Henry had all of what Judas had, more, plus better physical attributes, bags of pace, better mental attributes and intelligence.

No player in the world has come to Henrys level, because was far better as a game in his peak era.
