Then why even buy Leno?

If leno looks awesome in the Europa, Emery will have some explaining to do.

Cech is obviously not suited to Emery's requirement for us to play out from the back.

He can't control the ball with his feet. Surely that alone is enough to exclude him.

TBF it's the reason Hart got bombed out of city straight away. Pep even played with a 2nd rate keeper because he could play with his feet.

There is no doubt Cech is worse than useless with the ball at his feet.

He's not suited for this, and neither are our CB's really. Socrates takes too long on the ball when he gets it, rarely ever looks to go forward with the ball then ends up passing a soft ball back to Cech which puts him in a bad position, then the embarrassment starts.

Would it be unfair to say he has looked the worst of all Goal keepers in the PL in the initial few games?

Yes, unlike Mr.Allison he hasn't directly been at fault for a goal

Like I said above, our CB's haven't done him any favors with some of the balls they send back to him, plus they haven't really been that good with this yet either.

I didnt watch all other teams, so I can't tell if he's the worst. I am not a fan of Cech since his second season here, but compared to last season he did better. He is terrible with the ball at his feet, he could have done better on a few goals, but he prevented many goals. He has 19 saves in the 4 games this season. With Cech from last year or Ospina we would have conceded 12 goals or more in those 4 games.
I want him dropped, but I think he's treated unfairly here.

Agreed. He's had a good start to the season.

I also think it's unfair to blame him so much. He can do what Emery requires, because Emery's system obviously does not account for Mustafi and Sokratis passing back to Cech instead of making a pass every time

Hes shit, has been shit since he joined

Needs to win us 30 points to win us that 10 points Terry said he'd get us cos hes lost us about 20

Ospina, judging on Arsenal career alone for both has been far better and we sold the wrong keeper.

Whilst our defending hasn't been too good, it doesn't help we have senile old dude at the back giving them no confidence

We all await Lenos first appearance and unfortunately due to Cechs shitness, so much attention will be on Leno when he does play. He has to be mentally tough

I watched Match of the Day 2 again last night and I think Cech with the ball at his feet is the worst footballer I have ever seen, including growing up.

Remember playing footie in the playground and there was always the same 2 to 3 players that were proper shit, no coordination, who would be the last picks on teams that nobody wanted. Cech would have been those players - were he not a goalie.

In fact thats probably how he became a goalie, he was told to just stay in goal cos he was so shit, nobody ever starts out wanting to be a goalkeeper :rofll:
