Of course he was completely wrong to do this sort of thing in the workplace.

But it depends now on what exactly was said. If it was the sort of naughty stuff you'd expect in carry on films then he should have a little break and come back. If however it was obscene then I'm afraid he's made his bed and can probably not get a high profile job again.

As someone else said though, he's not a naive young boy. Maybe he's had some sort of mid life crisis. Or maybe it was a two way thing with flirty texts being sent in both directions, and now one or more of the women have decided to drop him in it.
