Been hooked ever since.

One thing I didn't mention about that photo is they all have their socks down, with no shin pads. And it was a lot more physical then.

Yeah I remember playing with socks around my ankles.....it felt so much lighter and you never seemed to get bad injuries for some reason. Okay the odd stud in the shin, but that was not considered much in those days!

I remember playing a school match on a park pitch that had a big tractor tyre furrow through the middle of it. The weather had turned and it was absolutely freezing cold. The ground had frozen. Those ridges sticking up out of the ground were like rock hard blades.

"Shut your mouth and get on with it boy."

1986/87 League Cup semi final. White Hart Lane.

In added time, Rocky gets into the box and on the end of an Ian Allinson cross, to put the ball past Clemence and send Arsenal to Wembley.

I was to the right of that goal, in the Park Lane end.

24th July 2011, Carl Jenkinson lobbing his own goalkeeper vs. Koln.

Still gives me chills.

Burgundy with the white collar and badge is fly.

Adidas should bring that look back for a season.

The squad of Royal Arsenal FC in 1888. From left to right: Front row: Morris, Babour, Charteris Seated: Brown, Connolly, Danskin Standing: Horsington, Wilson, Beardsley, Bates (captain), McBean, Scott Back: Parr.

I love that Bates the Captain has a suit and a bowler hat on.
