Libertine and SE can probably tell you the truth, I've heard a few different stories so don't pretend know which is true.

Cheers for that Chris, seems a lot more plausible than the version I'd heard before.
Aaron Ramsey's magic, he wears an Arsenal hat. Sir Alex said come play for me but Aaron said f**k that. Ramsey is a Gooners fan, he wears his shirt with pride, he plays for Arsenal FC, red and white army by his side!

Best one is about RVP right now, He scores when he wants. Simple but very true.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

Does anyone else remember when Arsenal were on a terrible run in the late seventies + Jimmy Rimmer was in goal + made a terrible clearance,I think against VILLA at Highbury, which led to a goal + the NB began singing 'Cheer up Jimmy',I thought that was brilliant.

stumped mate
i remember the terrible run but i don,t remember the particular game.
i had a season ticket in the east lower during the 3 seasons rimmer was at the club.
i have to say he was a fine keeper and i strongly believe he kept us up in 74/75 and 75/76.
the only thing i can say is it was not v aston villa.
we played them twice at highbury with rimmer in goal and did,nt concede a goal
jan 76 0-0
april 77 3-0 macdonald,armstrong,nelson.
i will ask the guy who sits next to me today if he has any recollections

My faves are the basic ones. RVP he scores when he wants. In the past Ian Wright, Wright, Wright. Even the Arsenal, By far the greatest team. The last one because my daughter has started singing it like Talking Tom in the Arsenal kit.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.
