this is the worst part of the transfer window, we know he will sign were just waiting fr it to be released so we dont have to see it across the papers ne more.

Anyway deadlines 12 days away so we don't even get him officially till then.

I think that the window closes at the end of August.

The transfer window opens on July 1st and closes at midnight on August 31st.

As Fabbyulous rightly points out, no players have officially moved from one club to another yet.

It opens on July 1st for much of Europe, but in England it is open after midnight of the last day of the season. I imagine this means that any transfers so far between two English clubs would be official, but transfers between English and French, German, Italian, Spanish etc. clubs would probably not be official until their window opens on 1st July. I don't know when the transfer window for the Dutch league opens though, probably the 1st of July too.

I am still warming to the idea, so it wasn't my complete lack of sleep, i suppose a good thing that will come out of this transfer if it happens is we will find out just how tall he is

Well i know this isnt gospel but its the best info i have found. Championship manager has him down as 180cm so, according to that, hes no monster but no midget either. Pretty much what we already have in toure and willy. Still dont know enough wbout him to say if hes good but if le proff is interested then i think he will bu up to standard.
Aaron Ramsey's magic, he wears an Arsenal hat. Sir Alex said come play for me but Aaron said f**k that. Ramsey is a Gooners fan, he wears his shirt with pride, he plays for Arsenal FC, red and white army by his side!

while you will get gooners quick to judge due to size ect i believe we should give him a chance. See how he does throughout the season and hopefully he can provwe to us that he is a good deffender.

He looks a bit mean in his pic, despite him smiling, one thing i also noticed is that he has a bit of positive agression about him, not dirty, but a willingness to fight for the team, which is what we need in a defender.

I am still on the fence about him but if his ability matches his attitude then we will have a good player on our hands.

We won't know until he plays Prem opposition though, its hard to judge defenders in the Eredivisie because its a shite League.

Just thought i would add, Arsenal.com has his factfile.

He is 182cm (6ft) and weighs 82kg.

Not sure what others think but at that weight, despite looking trim is f***ing beastly and his height isn't bad.

A lot of his goals come from headers too, so he can attack the ball at least.

Happier than i thought i would be about this signing to be honest :)

He does look quite hard, we need that in our squad, someone willing to get stuck in.

Anyone who squares up to RVP like this must be hard, not many players do.
