I dont know how Ozil would have changed this.
To me it was in our link between defence and midfeild we were simply shit we missed elneny and Partey although partey is so new. Cellos and Xhaka should never play in the same side ever.
If Ozil had played he would of got the same shit service that all the attacking players got.
We got our couple of token chances as you do.

What a pathetic performance. That was painful to watch. Just a couple of months ago I had hope and was excited about the future of this team. Now, the wind is completely out of the sails. Pepe is a clown. Arteta on the ropes. The team just looks lifeless and no sense of urgency what so ever.

The distances between our players are just too far and wide. The days of playing quick one touch football is over. Build up play is just too slow and boils down to the positioning of the players. That lack of talent is bad enough but the rigid structure just makes it worse.

He was already rewarded for what he done with a previous big contract and bonuses.

We've flushed 350k a week down the toilet for 3 years. Utter joke.

To be honest fella - I was amazed my views were so controversial.
350k a week for a 32-year-old for 3 years and leaving out a truly world-class creative midfielder when we've let so many other midfielders go... I mean it's not anything really smart to know they were ridiculous decisions that would come back to bite us in the ass.

The only remedy - there is one - is to sell Auba in Jan and reinstate Ozil.

The contract was reward for his good form. Would he have got the contract if he was Eddie nketiahesque form? No.

So far he's had a dip in form but giving him the contract was never a mistake
