Europa League concern for Chelsea as Kante suffers injury set-back.

The France international had been on the road to recovery, but the latest knock means he remains a doubt for the final against the Gunners

Chelsea are sweating over the fitness of N'Golo Kante ahead of the Europa League final after the midfielder suffered a knock in training on Saturday.

The Blues star had almost completely recovered from the calf strain he sustained against Watford in the Premier League at the beginning of May, but he has now encountered another set-back in his road to recovery.

He had been taking part in preparations ahead of the Europa League decider against Arsenal when he suffered a knock to his knee and his involvement in the game remains doubtful as a result.

This would be huge, but I'm not believing it until 1 hour before kick off when teams get announced.

REgardless of who plays if it's in our fate to win it we wil, I just hope we give a good account of ourselves and they try their best. I am feeling positive about this game, we will overcome and win. Keep the faith. Come on you mighty Gunners. :arse fan: ( I have a feeling Cech will be MOTM for us)

If we win this I'm going to go fkin mental.

We need some good times at this club, not made the cut too many times, time to change that.

f***ing buzzing for this, bring on tomorrow when we fly out. We can discuss the merits of having the final in Baku till the cows come home, but it's an away trip and the atmosphere in Baku will be amazing when the Gooners take over. Official reports are 4000 tickets have been sold by Arsenal, but I expect to be a big inflow of fans from all over the middle east/asia.
Arsenal fans who hate other clubs more than Tottenham? Really!!

Amen.
It's a big chance to create some history and would set Emery up very nicely for his Arsenal career.
When Wenger first arrived he had a huge first season and it sparked 7 years that will probably go down as the best in our history.
A European trophy could be the spark we need now to set us off again.

First 38 games under wenger 69 points and a defeat in the uefa cup at out first entry to paok Salonica that was to become an exit after drawing at Highbury

Wenger 1st arrived 10 months before that though
With 30 league games of a season remaining
