How can the guardian have a soccer page and have nothing about the fact that if AFC win we leapfrog Chelski and Titteringhumps?

Because there’s no story in it.

Nothing about Sarri. Nothing about favourite son Pochettino.

Terrible in April ?
Last 38 league games in April
W20 d12 l6 72 pts
Not lost a home game in April in 7 years

Liverpool last 38 league games in April
W18 d 10 l10
64 points

Spurs
W21 d11 l6
74 pts

Man Utd
W23 d8 l 7
77pts

Man city
W25 d 6 l 8
81pts

Chelsea
W26 d6 l6
Pts 84
Terrible ?
Behind 3 teams that have won the league
And the difference between a win and a draw with Spurs who are supposed to have been all that in the last few years
This with a manager past his sell by date
Also won 3 fa cup semi finals in April as well
But well done trying some negative spin

Poor form from gooney, you should have known you left the door open for starman to rain down on your parade, with statistical rain drops of enlightenment and truth. Maybe April isn't YOUR month.

Because we've been in the CL for 20 of the last 22 years, same # of times we've finished above Spurs. Not newsworthy IMO

Need to win the next couple of games to release any pressure on us and pile them on Spuddies and ManUre. Will be fun to see them implode.

Team to play Newcastle: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Mustafi, Monreal, Kolasinac, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Iwobi, Ozil, Lacazette

Subs: Cech, Elneny, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang, Suarez, Jenkinson, Nketiah

I like it. I think Auba off the bench is a good option - pace against tiring defenders.
But Shame Torriera is suspended - will be most missed away to Everton, though.
..and Xhaka - I thought his form was lifting up a bit... now injured after the international break.

Midfiled looks light - big responsibility of Guendouzi.
May have been better starting Elneny over Ramsey.

Must win. But seems a nervy lineup from Unai. Hope we come out and go for the kill early on
