ozil and ramsey don't do well playing together.....too similar in play. might as well throw in Gerard/Lampard pairing while you are at it.
cheers!

This is Hasenhuttl's first game in front of the home fans. He will be keen to impress.

Shane Long and Danny Ings are both fit for this game; the former of whom always seems to turn into Messi against us.

Have to say. I'm not keen at the prospect of either of these two quick, nimble players up against a 33-year old Koscielny just back from injury, a 32-year old make-shift centre-half in Monreal and a 34-year old make-shift centre-half in Lichtsteiner.

I just hope we have enough attacking quality to punish them, as I can't see us keeping a clean sheet and their defence is shit.

That is true.

Doesn't matter where you put them on the pitch they both end up in the same space behind the strikers, making it an issue.

You could put Ramsey in defence and half the time he'll be up ahead of Lacazette.

Btw, anyone close to their ground then you can still get tickets in the home end for £40.

I was tempted but cba paying the train and ticket to miss the away atmosphere. Be alright if you're nearby though.

I can hardly see us in any game as a team that will not receive the goal but as we score goal more than opponent I'm not complaining.

I'd like to see us go with

--------------------Leno---------------------
Lich---------------Kos--------------Nacho
Bellerin--Xhaka--Torreria--Kolasinac
-------------------Rambo--------------------
Lacca--------------------------------Pierre

That's the team I'd like not the team I think we will actually play!

Exactly this, I'm sure that Ramsey for half a game forgot in which position he actually plays. Indiscipline is his biggest problem, and that's why he's more on the bench this season.

Should be ok tomorrow. Ozil will be hungry to get things going again. Hope Kos and Monreal hold on the whole 90 mins.
Any central defenders from academy?

Zechariah "Zech" Medley

18 years old, 6'5'', mobile, versatile and comfortable on the ball.

Really has all the tools to have a fine career.

Not sure we'll get away with throwing him in the deep end like that, though.

Medley has played in our last two EL fixtures. Very confident with his passing. But, I think Lichtsteiner are more likely to play. We signed him because we want him to cover these defensive position, no?

Medley should have his chance I believe. 18 is old enough, if he’s good enough. Too much wrapping of young players in cotton wool these days.
