I think that was our best full 90 mins that we had under Emery so far, considering the competition as well.

Torriera stood out for me. Xhaka actually did well, and I thought Holding held his own as well.

Let's build off that for sure, but sooner or later we're going to have to figure out a way to beat these bigger teams.

Liverpool have not scored 3 goals in the last 20 mins since a 6-1 win home to Brighton in the fa cup in 11/12
The cup we have won 3 times since then

Even if he does, I can't see Laca doing anything worthwhile with it.

They scored once
Try and draw out the bookies on 3 or 4 Liverpool goals
See how you get on

Their fans know it too. They rode their luck. Pages of chat about our midfield not dominating ever, but they were rattled for most of the game.

Fabinho should have had 2 yellows he was so shook at the pace of the closing down, they had to keep playing wide balls to salah and avoid the middle.

Not seen one comment of how klopps fabled midfield dominance was neutralised.

Even before their goal, we were fully in control.

When you look at their midfield and defence, its a missed opportunity to beat a top team but nevertheless its a point I didn't expect so I'll take it

Our performance in this game was more important than the points imo

Most confident and dominant we’ve looked in one since we beat United with Mesut and dog nonce scoring

Massively. I can hear it in the tone of comments from other fans and pundits. After Chelsea, people were brimming to give it some stick. The amount of times I heard about our moyes era coming up.

During the game, those same pundits that had to calm the f**k down after the laca goal were subdued.

People I've spoken to since are staying humble with their predictions.

This Liverpool match was pointed to by so many people to showcase what were really about and no one gave us a chance. Merson, the bookies, Scousers, scum etc.

That performance has answered a question and quite the majority of the football world are surprised at that answer.

Roll on sporting...

It was a good performance in terms of heart but we didn't have control most of the 1st half against an under par liverpool midfield, it was an impressive performance but we need to calm down, we have only beaten who we should have beat so far, lost two games we were expected to lose and took 2 points from the last 2 when at least 4 should have been taken, reality is we are still in 5th.

Big improvements from Wenger but arsenal is about winning the big trophies and we aren't close to that yet.

This is demonstrably false though. We let go of control for about 25 minutes total in that game. We definitely didn't 'lose control for most of the first half'
