I read a thread on it on Reddit and one observation that caught my eye is how Arsenal are the club responsible for ending the careers of hard-tackling, aggressive English players due to the influx "soft," technical players who'd be laughed at in the English setup before Arsene Wenger.

Tony Gale is one of those folks who "miss the good 'ol days" of English football. And, we're at the forefront of its demise.

While Gale is a moron, we're also the media and former English players' least favorite top club. In fact, even at the moment, those morons want Spurs to pipe us to 4th spot so that they could continue their narrative about Arsenal.

We're "only" 4 points behind City and Liverpool. Sure, we'll be 10-15 points behind them come the end of the season, but look at how our achievements are perceived as opposed to "serial winners" Liverpool and Spurs.

If Liverpool do win the title this season, it'd be the greatest accomplishment of English football since Crystanbul Istanbul.

I'm not surprised by the anti-Arsenal sentiment.

Fact is this is a manager who know's the only way to keep his job is to win games, Wenger thought he could only fire himself.
Another fact is Wenger never managed a high level team before he came to us, Emery has managed at PSG, imagine what the PSG board was like regarding being demanding, Emery is under no illusions of what his job entails.

This is why we wanted Wenger gone, for those reasons more than all others, we needed a manager who knew what the fk he was here to do.

Indeed and one of the first things he will want to do is find a creative central midfielder.....not easy I know!
