I'd go with something like this but stick one of our 1st team strikers on the bench like Auba just in case we need to nick a goal if we're not getting it done .......... then again it depends how much Emery gives a damn about this comp as we have the Europa as well.

You know I'm usually for chasing every trophy but there's already enough going on this season what with everything. This is not the year to be chasing this pot

Would be nice if we got a trophy asap in the emery reign.

Likes of Jose, pellegrini and the fraud all got their first trophies in this.

Play the fringe first teamers. A couple of kids. Gone are the days I have faith in our kids doing well in this cos I don't particularly rate any. Have a strong bench is a minimum

After his showing in pre-season and cameo in the Europa League, I think Smith-Rowe deserves a start. Can't really think of a better opportunity to give him a chance.

Leno
Lichsteiner Mavropanos Holding Bola
Elneny - Guendouzi
Welbeck - Smith-Rowe - Iwobi
Nketiah
Leno
Bellerin Sokratis Holding Tierney
Ceballos - Torriera - Özil
Pépé - - Lacazette - - Auba

Any Brentford players ever we might have heard of?

I know Szczesny was on loan there and did very well and looked a big talent. Proof that a loan doesn't always work

anyone else?

Neal Maupay - once French prodigy who never lived up to the high expecations as he ultimately ended up flopping at various Ligue 1 teams.

Josh McEcran - once highly rated Chelsea youngster who spent 5 seasons out on loan at various clubs before permanently signing for Brentford.

Nico Yennaris - don't think he needs introducing

Henrik Dalsgaard - easy scoring full back and Danish international who played for Zulte-Waregem before sealing a move to Brentford.

And last but not least...

Joshua Dasilva - English DM, released by Arsenal last summer before joining Brentford on a free. Other than accumulating a handful of sub-appearances in the EFL Cup and making our bench a couple of times, he never played for Arsenal's first team.

Don't know any of the other players, though.
