Our LB position starting to look a bit desperate. Nacho is back in to full training but we have no backup other than shoving Right backs on the left.

Nonsense, we have Welbeck

Scenes if Xhaka starts and Ramsey is our false nine/SS.

Cech did okay...apart from that one aberration. It will be interesting to see how he sets up the team though. Wenger wouldn't have done anything differently, so hoping he isn't cut from the same cloth!

If he starts any of those that failed against City i.e Cech (only because of playing from the back), Xhaka or a diff FB other than Lich, and they under perform again, I will openly question him.
I don't mind a warm up against City but if he doesn't learn his lessons because of favoring lost causes then that's the same thing I held against Wenger so it would be hypocritical of me not to hold Emery to account.
Not results, or trying to implement a style for the team but picking under performing players over better players is where I draw the line.

I'm almost glad, don't want our players injured but opportunity wise it means Lich gets a run in the team, I know he's a RB but the guys a career Fullback, he can defend and he know's what he's doing, wish we had signed this guy years ago.

Just goes to show what sort of strong minded, professional players are out there not wearing an Arsenal shirt.

Shouldve just used the Leno money for a CB, because the German isnt going to get any better by sitting on the bench.

Cech is a disaster waiting to happen. He didnt cover himself in glory for the Sterling goal and he almost kicked one into his own net.

Tbh, City didnt play that well. We could have won the game if Torriea had started.

We played pretty bad too. Ozil isn't very good against the press and converge.

Seems you just want change even if the other player is worse. Leno hasn't proven that he is better than Cech, Ospina or even that 3rd goalkeeper. It's not like he is a big expensive signing that deserves a start on name, he's an average player that first needs to prove his worth.

And the obvious flaw in that statement is....

1) If Ramsey's going to keep playing like he's a striker might as well drop him for Lacazette as he's better at it.
2) Cech defended well but if we're going to play from the back his feet just aren't good enough.
3) I hope i don't need to explain why I'd drop Xhaka.

spot on

I'd like to see this

Correct to a tee on all counts.

This was by far the best set up when we played City, we had chances on goal and actually threatened, if Ozil was having a better day skill wise we could of scored two goals all in all.

IMO that's our best lineup.
