4-4-2

Cant be anything else

I don't care what set up the four in midfield have, we have to go with 2 up top and then work back from that

thats a good formation but with guendouzi in the middle . torry and ramsey are more mobile and can cover wide.

Leno
Bellerin - Papa - Mustafi - Lichtsteiner
Torreira - Guendouzi - Elneny
Mesut Özil
Lacazette - Aubemeyang

Strong midfield presence which will give some freedom for our front 3 to do their thing.

1) If Ramsey's going to keep playing like he's a striker might as well drop him for Lacazette as he's better at it.
2) Cech defended well but if we're going to play from the back his feet just aren't good enough.
3) I hope i don't need to explain why I'd drop Xhaka.

This guy knows what he's talking about.

Wish we could play a 4-2-2-2 with those players, but Ozil is abysmal on the wing.

Leno
Lichtsteiner Holding Mavropanos Monreal
Torreira Guendouzi
Lacazette Ozil Aubameyang
Ramsey

Subs: Cech Mustafi AMN Mkhitaryan Xhaka Iwobi Welbeck

It looks like from the City game that Emery want the striker to press in his system rather than scoring, perhaps he expects his wingers to score and striker to just the tap-in type goals. That way I would choose Ramsey or Welbeck leading up front.

Neither Ozil nor Mkhitaryan are hard working wingers, guess they will fight for the same position.

There are only 2 players in our team that is likely to score 20 league goals+, so Lacazette and Aubaneyang wiould be my first pick on either side.

Torreira and Guendouzi, our best CM, hard working, can bring the ball forward, willing to defend; which I expected was the job of Xhaka, unfortunately he is just not good enough.

Lichtsteiner and Monreal, experienced, consistent.

Holding and Mavropanos, i just don't see how Mustafi and Sokratis have better pace, dribbbling or passing skills then the young CBs. Even if the latter two have better positioning or experience, sorry, this is the EPL, Holding and Mavropanos's height are more important then positioning and experience.

I like it

This line up that changes into 4-2-3-1 when it needs too. Have to play the guys that perform and xhaka got out played by a guy who was in the french second league.

Holding has so many errors in him. Would make someones day playing those two. Willian and Pedro would like like MSN. Can't really afford another loss. We get a draw would be great. Optimistic going into this one again.

Correct to a tee on all counts.

This was by far the best set up when we played City, we had chances on goal and actually threatened, if Ozil was having a better day skill wise we could of scored two goals all in all.

Ainsley has sustained a small fracture to his left fibula and will be out for six to eight weeks. Sead has a left knee injury. We are aiming for him to return to training in October.

Our LB position starting to look a bit desperate. Nacho is back in to full training but we have no backup other than shoving Right backs on the left.
